Tiger Tops Jungle Lodge has a busy season ahead with bookings taking a healthy turn after the closure of all lodges within the national park last year. The annual World Elephant Polo Championships will take place in Chitwan from 28th November to 4th December 2010. Last year the tournament was moved to Karnali Lodge in Bardia, which hosted the games for the first time in WEPA’s 28-year history. The international coverage that this event generates each year plays an important role in promoting Nepal and Tiger Tops. The championship also raises significant funds for charity.Last year’s tournament included an impromptu auction that raised over twelve thousand pounds for ITNC’s Jim Edward Memorial Fund. This will be used in part to fund the Jim Edwards Conservation Centre at Jagandamba Secondary School in Bardia. A “week of fun and frolic” it is, but Tiger Tops spends the rest of the season focusing on its proven expertise in offering the best of wildlife safaris in Nepal.
